Property Description
49+ Acre Mountain Escape with Stunning Views, Wildlife, Trails, Cabin & Public Land Access - Near Idaho Springs
Experience the freedom of nearly 50 acres of beautiful Colorado wilderness just outside Idaho Springs. This 49.235-acre property offers breathtaking mountain views, diverse terrain, and abundant wildlife including elk, deer, and bear-perfect for hunting, hiking, camping, or a quiet mountain retreat.
The land features a dry hunting cabin, meadows, wooded areas, and steeper terrain with trails running throughout, ideal for exploring on foot or ATV. While there are some neighboring parcels where owners occasionally camp, the property still provides a remarkable sense of seclusion and privacy, with no permanent residences nearby and expansive views in all directions.
A 4WD high-clearance vehicle is required to access the property via a rugged mountain trail, adding to the off-grid charm.
Important note: A historic mine shaft is located behind the cabin near the rear of the property-please do not enter or approach for safety reasons.
This parcel borders public land, offering even more room to roam. With few properties like this remaining near Idaho Springs, this is a unique opportunity for those seeking adventure, tranquility, and true Colorado wilderness.

Zoning M-2
Direction Property is best accessible using Trail Creek Rd., The grid coordinates 39.7521, -105.58308 are to the cabin. You should put in the Phoenix Mine as a stop prior to the grid coordinates otherwise it will take you up Turkey Gulch Rd. from the bottom and it is much easier to access via Trail Creek Rd and Miners Candle Rd. You can get there from Turkey Gulch Rd. but the road is much more rough. I did put property boundary tape near the turn offs that you need to take to get to the property to make it easier. The property is a rough 4WD road that has some areas that are pretty rocky. You will want a capable 4WD vehicle with a good amount of clearance.
